Earn · Learn · Save · Spend
Teach your children the value of money.
Sonik Pocket turns everyday jobs into missions. Your children earn their pocket money, save for the things they want and learn to spend it well. You stay in the loop the whole way.
- Free to use
- No money needed to start
- For children aged 5 to 12
Does your child think money grows on trees?
We can help fix that!
Four habits, one app
-
Earn
Missions turn everyday jobs into pocket money they have really earned.
-
Learn
A Launch check at the checkout makes them stop and think about the numbers.
-
Save
Goals and a Save wallet show that waiting pays off.
-
Spend
A store made for children, where the choices are theirs to make.
How it works
From washing the dishes to reading for twenty minutes, it takes three steps.
-
You set a mission
Pick the job, the deadline and the reward: pocket money, SP Points or something from the Store.
-
They do it, you approve it
Your child marks the mission as done. You take a look and approve it when you are happy.
-
They choose what happens next
The reward lands in their app. They can spend it, save it or put it towards a goal.
Earn
Little jobs. Big wins.
They do it, you approve it, they beam. Missions make the link between effort and reward easy to see, one made bed at a time.
- One-off missions, or ones that repeat
- Rewards in pocket money, SP Points or something from the Store
- Children can ask for a mission of their own
Save
Dream it. Save it. Get it.
From a kite to a day out, a goal gives pocket money somewhere to go. Children watch their progress grow and decide for themselves when to move money in.
- Three wallets: Spend, Save and Goals
- Up to five goals at a time
Spend and learn
Think first, then buy.
The Sonik Pocket Store is made for children. Before they pay from their Spend wallet, a Launch check asks one quick money question, so spending comes with a small lesson.
- Delivery is included in every price
- A right answer earns 25 SP, and any answer still lets the order lift off
- Every purchase shows in the app for the Master Guardian, and a surprise gift for you stays a surprise
You are in the loop, every step.
Children make the choices. You set the frame they make them in.
-
Your wallet
Add money to your own wallet. A mission’s reward is set aside when you create it and released when you approve.
-
Earned, never handed over
Pocket money reaches a child only as a mission reward. There are no top-ups and no allowance on autopilot.
-
Kept in the loop
You are notified when a mission is done and when an order is on its way. Every purchase shows in the app for the Master Guardian.
-
Signing in safely
Children sign in with a PIN you set, and they cannot change it themselves.
Room for the whole family.
Invite a Co-Guardian to share the everyday, and Trusted Guardians, such as grandparents, to cheer from a little further away.
You choose what each Trusted Guardian can do, and everyone gives from their own wallet. One app does both jobs: grown-ups open the guardian side, children open theirs.
What is next
Next stop: the Journey.
A learning path where children travel from planet to planet and pick up money skills through short challenges. It comes after launch, and we are looking for education partners and parents to help shape it.
Good questions
How much does Sonik Pocket cost?
Nothing. Sonik Pocket is free to use. The money you add to your wallet is yours to give: it pays for mission rewards and for anything you buy in the Store.
Can I give my child money without a mission?
No. In Sonik Pocket, pocket money reaches a child only as the reward for a mission.
Do I have to approve what my child buys?
No. It is their money and their choice. Every purchase shows in the app for the Master Guardian. If it is a surprise gift for you, you hear that one is coming, not what it is.
What is a Launch check?
One quick money question before your child pays from their Spend wallet, such as how much will be left afterwards. A right answer earns 25 SP. Any answer still lets the order go through.
Where can I get the app?
Use the store buttons on our home page. Sonik Pocket is for families in the UK.
